Since the beginning of this group, our members have been submitting Sculpey products work. But they have been submitting it to two or three different galleries (Clay, Ceramics, or Other materials). So I'm wondering what it is, and I have not gotten a clear answer out of the research I've done (not even on their site). All I know is that it is a type of polymer clay in witch you can bake it. But "I" have never worked with it so I REALLY don't know what it is.

Up till now, I have been sorting the galleries by this fav.me/d3nbrdc (Clay:soft, not baked; Ceramics:hard, was baked; Other: everything else.) Lets make the comments of this journal be a discussion on what Sculpey and other polymer clay's should be put under, Clay, Ceramics, or Other galleries.

its a malleable and mold-able plastic clay material, that comes in a variety of colors and brands, that hardens when baked in a conventional oven. and can be painted, sanded, and/or carved after baking.
it is a clay, but because its a synthetic material, and not a ceramic clay, i can see where people would get confused or play it safe and submit to "other"
